Hat Sizing

Little Lids Vintage Caps are meant to be worn big.
Because babies and children come in all shapes and sizes and their heads grow rapidly in the first couple of years, our sizing chart is meant to be a guideline only. Sizing should be adjusted accordingly if your child is smaller or larger than average.

Paddy and Kerry Form fitting band inside - allows room to grow (3 sizes available)

SMALL - 47-51 cms. (approx.18 3/4 - 20 1/2 inches) 6 months - 2 years

MED - 51-54 cms. (approx.20 1/2 - 21 3/4 inches) 18 months - 4 years

LARGE - 54-57 cms. (approx.21 3/4 - 23 inches) 4 - 8 years

Henry - William - Jacky Fitted (4 sizes available)

X-Small - 47 cms. (approx.18 3/4 inches) 6-15 months

Small - 51 cms. (approx.20 1/2 inches) 12-24 months

Medium - 53 cms. (approx.21 1/4 inches) 2-3 years

Large - 56 cms. (approx.22 1/2 inches) 4-8 years

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR CHILD'S HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE

When ordering hats, we recommend you measure your child's head.

Wrap a tape measure around your child's head just above the eyebrows

Insert your index finger inside the tape measure (allowing extra room for growth).

Read the measurement in inches and compare with the size chart above.

If you are unable to measure your child's head, we recommend that you order a larger size. Your little one will be more comfortable and you will get the most out of your hat.

Did you know The size of a baby's head at birth is about one-third the size of a normal adult head; And by age 8, most children's heads will have grown to almost full size.?
