Little Lids sizing is on the BIGGER side.
Because babies and children come in all shapes and sizes and their heads grow rapidly in the first couple of years, our sizing chart is meant to be a guideline only. Sizing should be adjusted accordingly if your child is smaller or larger than average.
  • XXX-Small- 0-3 months --- 14"-15" head circumference
  • XX-Small- 3-6 months --- 15"-17" head circumference
  • X-Small- 6-12 months --- 17"-18.5" head circumference
  • Small- 12-24 months --- 19.5"-20.75 inches - 52cm
  • Med- 2-4 years --- 20.75"-21.25 inches - 54cm
  • Large- 4-8 years --- 21.5"-22 inches - 56cm

    Our vintage scally caps are meant to be worn big. Each cap is cleverly equipped with a form fitting elastic strap inside to provide plenty of room for growth.
  • Small ---- 47-50 cms.--- (approx 18 3/4 to 20 1/2 inches)
    Fits little lads from 1-3 years (on the average)
  • Med ---- 50-53cms.--- (approx 20 1/2 to 21 3/4 inches)
    Fits little lads from 2-5 years (on average)
  • Large ---- 54-57cms.--- (approx 21 3/4 to 23 inches)
    Fits little lads from 4-8 years (on average)circumference
    • HOW TO MEASURE YOUR CHILD'S HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE
  • When ordering hats, we recommend you measure your child's head.
  • Wrap a tape measure around your child's head just above the eyebrows
  • Insert your index finger inside the tape measure (allowing extra room for growth).
  • Read the measurement in inches and compare with the size chart above.
  • If you are unable to measure your child's head, we recommend that you order a larger size. Your little one will be more comfortable and you will get the most out of your hat.
